Kitchen Tools I Love...

Let’s be honest—when I was working full-time, cooking wasn’t high on my list. I grew up on a lot of processed food, and the little I did know, I taught myself through trial and error. But everything changed when I started cooking with Theo, a retired Austrian chef, and later went on to study basic cuisine and bread making at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. That’s when I realized: there are some tools that actually make a big difference.

This page is a curated list of the kitchen items I now use and love—things I wish I had known about years ago. Whether you're just getting started or you're ready to level up, these are the pieces worth investing in. I’ve done the research, used them in both home kitchens and professional-level classes, and only included the items that truly earn their keep.

No fluff—just the gear that makes cooking easier, more enjoyable, and a lot more fun. These Amazon links are here to help you feel more confident in the kitchen—one tool at a time.

Happy cooking,

Peggy

Sauce Pan

After making countless sauces at Le Cordon Bleu, I can tell you this pan is a game-changer. It heats evenly, handles beautifully, and is perfect for creating Theo’s rich, velvety sauces just the way they’re meant to be.

Ramekins w/ lids

When I first cooked with Chef Theo, I didn’t know what “mise en place” meant—everything in its place. These little ramekins changed everything. Perfect for prepping ingredients, keeping the counter tidy, and even storing ahead with their covers.
