If you loved Julie & Julia, you’ll get the idea—cooking through a cookbook, one recipe at a time. But unlike Julie, you won’t be cooking alone. With Cook the Book, you’ll learn to make the signature dishes that once defined Theo’s American Bistro—voted Best in Door County and celebrated for its refined yet comforting flavors. Chef Theo teaches live each class, sharing professional techniques and stories behind the recipes that made his bistro a local legend. This month, we’ll prepare Glazed Duck Breast with Wild Berry Coulis—a festive, elegant, and surprisingly approachable dish perfect for your holiday table. And because it’s the season of giving, this month’s Community Card focuses on generosity. Every participant receives a free guest pass—a chance to invite someone to cook alongside you (virtually or in person) and share the joy of good food and connection. You’ll Receive: * One featured dish taught live via Zoom * Step-by-step instruction and chef tips from Chef Theo, Peggy (Trained Cordon Bleu in Paris), & Ella. * Shopping list and prep guide * Wine pairing video from a local expert * Free Guest Pass (buy one, invite one!) * Community Challenge Card to inspire meaningful action * 10% of every class supports food insecurity efforts in Door County Registration $25 per person (up to 4 participants per screen, max $100).
